1. Who can book
We rent the studio only to businesses and other traders, not to private individuals. The person sending the request confirms that they are authorised to book on behalf of the business.
2. Booking
A request made via the website is not a binding booking. The booking is only valid once we have confirmed it in writing by email. From the time of confirmation, these terms apply between us and your business.
A day shown as available in the calendar on the website is no guarantee that it is still available when the request is received.
3. Rental period
- Half day, morning: 09:00–13:00
- Half day, afternoon: 13:00–17:00
- Full day: the whole day, at the times stated in the confirmation.
Setting up, dismantling and cleaning must take place within the booked time. If you need more time, contact us in advance and we will see whether it is possible.
4. Prices
The prices are those shown on the website when the request is sent, unless otherwise agreed in writing. All prices are stated excluding VAT.
5. Payment
We send an invoice once the booking has been confirmed. Payment terms are 30 days net. In the event of late payment, default interest is charged in accordance with the Swedish Interest Act (räntelagen), and a reminder fee is charged in accordance with the law.
6. Cancellation and changes
- Cancellation is free of charge up to 48 hours before the start of the booking.
- For cancellations made later than 48 hours before the start, 50% of the price is charged.
- For cancellations made on the same day, or if you do not turn up, the full price is charged.
Cancellations must be made in writing to studio@soscalemedia.se. The time at which we receive the email applies. A request to move a booking to another day is treated as a cancellation and a new booking, unless we agree otherwise.
7. If we have to cancel
If we are unable to provide the studio due to circumstances on our side, we will offer a new time or refund what you have paid for the booking. We do not compensate for any other costs or losses.
8. Use of the premises and equipment
- The premises and equipment must be treated with care and left in the same condition as on arrival.
- The kitchen and bathroom are shared with others who work on the premises. Please be considerate of them.
- The studio is located in premises with a shared workplace. Noise from outside may occur during office hours.
- Follow the instructions you receive from us regarding access, order and safety.
- Bookings that include equipment cover the equipment stated on the website. The equipment may not be taken out of the premises.
9. Liability
Your business is liable for damage to the premises and equipment caused by you, your staff or your guests during the booked time, and for ensuring that the premises are used lawfully.
We are not liable for property that you bring to the studio. Our liability towards you is limited to the amount you have paid for the booking in question, and does not cover indirect damage or loss of profit. We are not liable for impediments beyond our control, such as power cuts, decisions by public authorities or similar events (force majeure).
10. Material you create
All material you produce in the studio belongs to you. You are responsible for obtaining any permissions required, for example from people who take part.
11. Website content
Texts, images and logos on the website belong to SoScale Media AB or are used with permission. They may not be used without our written consent.
12. Personal data
How we handle personal data is described in our privacy policy.
13. Disputes
Swedish law applies to these terms and to bookings. Disputes that cannot be resolved through discussion will be settled by the general courts, with the Stockholm District Court (Stockholms tingsrätt) as the court of first instance.
